Return & Refunds
We would entertain a refund, only on the below condition/conditions are full-filled:
- For any Return/Refund of order/orders, the buyer/customer shall intimate within 10 days of delivery from their kitabay dashboard or Instagram Page "kitabay.store" or an email on kitabay.com@gmail.com, mentioning the reason of return. Upon reviewing, the amount would be subsequently refunded deducting a reverse shipment charge estimating to 40% of the order amount.
- A full Refund amount would be credited if cancellation request is sent before it gets dispatched from kitabay warehouse facility. Once the order is dispatched, you can make cancellation request upon successful delivery, where a reverse shipment charge estimating to 40% of the order amount would be deducted from the refundable amount.
- For product "Mystery Box", a Return request would mean the return of the whole box along with it's entire content. No individual item/content/book can be separately canceled/replaced/returned. For a Return/Refund of "Mystery Box", the buyer/customer shall intimate within 10 days of delivery from their kitabay dashboard or Instagram Page "kitabay.store" or an email on kitabay.com@gmail.com, mentioning the reason of return. Upon reviewing, the amount would be subsequently refunded deducting a reverse shipment charge estimating to 40% of the order amount.
Note:
- Estimated time to process and credit the refund amount may take up to 7 days.
- Our return address will be as mentioned on the billing invoice as well as at Contact Us page.
- Refund would be issued using the same mode of payment, used while placing the order.
- At any point of time the refunds will not exceed the actual value of the goods.
- Shipping cost would be deducted for reverse shipment in case of refund.
- We will not refund the custom duties, taxes, COD charges if applicable, or paid by you at time of receiving the goods.
To initiate Full Refund:
Once a package is received, the buyer can opt to return the order/consignment at their cost, to initiate full refund. The buyer would be responsible to manage the return process along with the freight charges. In this case, once the package reaches us a full Refund would be initiated.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:
- Incorrect or outdated delivery address including any form of a PO Box address.
- After 3 failed delivery attempts by our courier agencies.
- Package refused by recipient.
- Products returned in a damaged condition.
- Missing contents of the product.

This document is a written binding agreement and an electronic record under Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules there under as applicable and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic records in various statutes under applicable Indian laws. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.
This document is published and shall be construed in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3 (1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries guidelines) Rules, 2011 under Information Technology Act, 2000 that require publishing the rules and regulations, privacy policy and user agreement for access or usage of www.kitabay.com in website.

(xi) shall not be false, inaccurate or misleading; (xii) shall not, directly or indirectly, offer, attempt to offer, trade or attempt to trade in any item, the dealing of which is prohibited or restricted in any manner under the provisions of any applicable law, rule, regulation or guideline for the time being in force; and (xiii) shall not create liability for us or the website or cause the website to lose or disrupt (in whole or in part) the services of our service providers or other suppliers.
Please note that in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediaries guidelines) Rules 2011, in case of non-compliance with Terms, Acceptable Use Policy, and/or any policies contained or referred to herein for access or usage of an intermediary computer resource, we (i.e. the intermediary under the above rules) has the right to immediately terminate the access or usage rights of the users to the computer resource of intermediary and remove non-compliant information. - Our Role and Where We Stand
You understand and agree that we and the Website merely provide a platform for communication to its users and persons browsing / visiting the Website. We are seen as a communication facilitator and an intermediary which merely provides a communication link for Parties to sell books.
The website also contains various third party user generated content and material. We and the Website neither originates nor initiates the transmission nor selects the sender and receiver of the transmission nor selects nor modifies the information contained in the transmission. We and the website have no control over the third party user generated contents.
