{"product_id":"one-world-a-global-anthology-of-short-stories","title":"One World: A Global Anthology of Short Stories","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis book is made up of twenty-three stories, each from a different author from across the globe. All belong to one world, united in their diversity and ethnicity. And together they have one aim: to involve and move the reader.\nThe range of authors takes in such literary greats as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Jhumpa Lahiri, and emerging authors such as Elaine Chiew, Petina Gappah, and Henrietta Rose-Innes.\nThe members of the collective are:\nElaine Chiew (Malaysia)\nMolara Wood (Nigeria)\nJhumpa Lahiri (United States)\nMartin A Ramos (Puerto Rico)\nLauri Kubutsile (Botswana)\nChika Unigwe (Nigeria)\nRavi Mangla (United States)\nChimamanda Ngozi Adichie (Nigeria)\nSkye Brannon (United States)\nJude Dibia (Nigeria)\nShabnam Nadiya (Bangladesh)\nPetina Gappah (Zimbabwe)\nIvan Gabirel Reborek (Australia)\nVanessa Gebbie (Britain)\nEmmanual Dipita Kwa (Cameroon)\nHenrietta Rose-Innes (South Africa)\nLucinda Nelson Dhavan (India)\nAdetokunbo Abiola (Nigeria)\nWadzanai Mhute (Zimbabwe)\nKonstantinos Tzikas (Greece)\nKen Kamoche (Kenya)\nSequoia Nagamatsu (United States)\nOvo Adagha (Nigeria)\nFrom the Introduction:\nThe concept of One World is often a multi-colored tapestry into which\nsundry, if not contending patterns can be woven. for those of us who worked\non  this  project, ‘One World’ goes beyond the everyday notion of the globe\nas a physical geographic entity. Rather, we understand it as a universal idea,\none that transcends national boundaries to comment on the most prevailing\naspects of the human condition.\nThis attempt to redefine the borders of the world we live in through the\nshort story recognizes the many conflicting issues of race, language, economy,\ngender and ethnicity, which separate and limit us. We readily acknowledge,\nhowever, that regardless of our differences or the disparities in our stories, we\nare united by our humanity.\nWe invite the reader on a personal journey across continents, countries,\ncultures and landscapes, to reflect on these beautiful, at times chaotic, renditions\non the human experience. We hope the reach of this path will transcend the\nborders of each story, and perhaps function as an agent of change.\nWelcome to our world.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Kitabay Jaipur","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47159114662111,"sku":"9781906523138_Kitabay Jaipur_41-G1","price":199.0,"currency_code":"INR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0302\/6927\/6291\/files\/7964e95ef11314bcbfd2210b54ef006d.jpg?v=1753343718","url":"https:\/\/kitabay.com\/products\/one-world-a-global-anthology-of-short-stories","provider":"Kitabay","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
